Especially appropriate for the Hallmark Channel, this sweet Valentine’s Day flick is an adaptation of a Hallmark Publishing novel by author Nancy Naigle. First aired on Hallmark Channel's "Love Ever After" programming event in 2020, The Secret Ingredient tells the tale of a small-town baker invited to compete on a Valentine's Day baking show in New York City where she is unexpectedly reunited with her ex-fiancé. The previously engaged couple once dreamed of opening their own restaurant before life took them in different directions. Now, a special recipe with a secret ingredient brings them back together.
Directed by Tibor Takács, the film stars Erin Cahill, Brendan Penny, and Maneet Chauha.
