The latest iteration of the Spider-Man superhero on the big screen is a return to the teenage Peter Parker created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko in 1962. He first appeared as a teen in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 but quickly aged into an adult in subsequent issues and most of the Spider-Man films and TV series.
In 2000, Marvel Comics took its flagship character and company mascot back to school with an Ultimate Spider-Man series that portrayed him as a kid trying to find the balance between the responsible use of his superpowers and living his life as a normal teenager.
In Spider-Man: Far From Home Peter Parker is going on a European tour with his class debate team when Nick Fury shows up and tells him he has to be an Avenger instead.
