Melt white beeswax
And apply to a rigid but porous surface
Like a plank of wood warmed with a heat gun
Layer upon layer
Infused with colors and textures
Covered with coats of wax.
Then you scrape or incise or scratch
To reveal your vision
And perhaps apply stencils or tape or tissue
Or found objects pressed into the warm wax
For a collage of memories and impressions.
