World Series, Game Three

  • Yankee Stadium Bronx, New York United States (map)

The World Series is a best-of-seven series, with the championship of Major League Baseball going to the first team to win four games.

In the 2023 World Series, the Texas Rangers prevailed over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Often referred to as the "Fall Classic", the World Series has been played every year since 1903 except in 1904, when the National League champion New York Giants declined to play the American League champion, the Boston Americans. It was also canceled in 1994 due to a strike.

The World Series is a best-of-seven series, with the championship going to the first team to win four games.

The home field advantage (games 1,2,6,7) is determined by which league wins the All-Star game in July, with Game One played on the home field of that league’s champion. Games 3,4,5 are consequently played on the home field of the opposing league’s champion.
