Planetary conjunctions occur when two or more planets appear to be close together in the sky when viewed from Earth. Most of these celestial events are visible to the unaided eye in a clear sky and some are quite common, but others are very rare and occur hundreds of years apart.
Saturn-Venus
On January 19, 2025, Saturn will pass with 2°12' of Venus. Both planets will be bright enough to be seen with the naked eye. Look for them in the evening, about an hour after sunset. Venus and Saturn will be in the constellation Aquarius, above the western/southwestern horizon for the Northern Hemisphere and just above the western/northwestern horizon for the Southern Hemisphere.
