Perseid Meteor Shower

This is one of the most celebrated astronomical events of the summer, renowned for its high activity and vibrant meteors.

Made up of a dense debris trail left behind by Comet Swift-Tuttle, this meteor shower generates 60-80 falling stars per hour during its peak in mid-August.

Perseid meteors are known for their brightness and often display vibrant colors, sometimes leaving behind persistent trails that enhance the visual spectacle.

Occurring in mid-August, this meteor shower is a favorite in the Northern Hemisphere because the warm summer nights allow for comfortable viewing conditions.

As with most meteor showers, the Perseids are best viewed after midnight until just before dawn's first light.
