Mother’s Day is observed in Slovenia each year on 25 March. The date corresponds with the Christian Day of Annunciation, or Lady Day, commemorating the visit of the archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary, during which he informed her that she would be the mother of Jesus Christ.
