Asteroid Defense Test

On September 26 the Double Asteroid Redirection Test by NASA will conclude with a spacecraft crashing into an asteroid called Dimorphos. The collision is expected to take place at 7:15pm EDT. The purpose of the mission is to determine whether such an impact can deflect the trajectory of an asteroid.
