Apple Day

Traditionally observed on 21 October in the United Kingdom, Apple Day celebrates apples and orchards with village fairs, cider-making demonstrations, apple themed meals, games and apple sales. Initiated by the charity Common Ground in 1990 at an event in Covent Garden, London, it has since been celebrated each year and spread to over 600 communities.
