Georgia Peanut Festival, held at T.C. Jeffords Park near downtown Sylvester, Georgia, on the third Saturday of October, is both a celebration and a “Thank You” to local farmers. Activities include parades, booths showcasing craftsmen from all over the state, and vendors offering peanut treats. In 1987, the festival set a record for the World’s Largest Peanut Butter Sandwich (14 foot wide by 14 foot long and 2,650 lbs).
