A Perfect Manhattan has both sweet and dry vermouth. (Ben) Reed comments in his book The Art of the Cocktail that “perfect” refers to the balance between sweet and dry. This recipe is for a Premium Manhattan, which also happens to be a Perfect Manhattan.
1¾ ounces Knob Creek
¾ ounce Vya dry vermouth
¾ ounce Vya sweet vermouth
Dash Angostura bitters
Orange zest, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir gently with a bar spoon. Strain into a frosted Martini glass and garnish with orange zest.
