World Series, Game Two

  • Dodger Stadium 1000 Vin Scully Avenue Los Angeles, CA, 90012 United States (map)

First played in 1903, the World Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven playoff and is a contest between the champions of Major League Baseball's National League and American League.

In the 2023 World Series, the Texas Rangers prevailed over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The World Series is a best-of-seven series, with the championship going to the first team to win four games.

Usually, the home field advantage (games 1,2,6,7) is determined by which league wins the All-Star game in July, with Game One played on the home field of that league’s champion. Games 3,4,5 are consequently played on the home field of the opposing league’s champion.

Game Two is particularly important for the losing team in Game One because only ten teams in the history of the World Series have come back from a 2-0 deficit to win the championship. The last team to do it was the New York Yankees in 1996.
