Giorno delle Forze Armate

Armed Forces Day in Italy is observed on 4 November to commemorate an Italian victory in the First World War, 4 November 1918, that forced Austrian-Hungarian forces to agree to a cease fire and put an end to the war on the Italian front and led to the unification of the Italian nation.

Also known as National Unity Day, this holiday is celebrated with public events like parades and speeches led by local mayors and prefects.
