Nougat Day

A confection since ancient Rome, nougat is a chewy sweet confection made with sugar or honey, roasted nuts, whipped egg whites, and sometimes chopped candied fruit, often used in candy bars and chocolates. The word nougat is derived from the Latin panis nucatus, or nut bread.
