Celebrating a snack dish comprised of two essential ingredients - chips and cheese - Nachos Day is a food holiday that originated in the U.S. among enthusiasts of the Tex-Mex dish from northern Mexico that consisted of heated tortilla chips or totopos covered with melted cheese. Today’s nachos appear in many forms and flavors from simple and mild to hot a spicy and covered with a wide range of toppings.
