A classic New England dessert made with milk, molasses and cornmeal, Indian Pudding is celebrated with a food holiday on November 13 in the USA. The name refers to the cornmeal ingredient, which was known as Indian meal in the colonial period. Similar to hasty pudding, Indian Pudding often uses ginger and nutmeg as flavorings.
