Blueberry Day

This July 8 food holiday recognizes the blueberry as one of the healthiest fruits. Loaded with fiber and rich in antioxidants, blueberries have been shown to help lower cholesterol, reduce the risk of cancer, and even slow aging. Blueberries can be eaten fresh, of course, or used in baking, sauces, preserves and jams.
