Held annually on the second Saturday in April, this festival celebrates a uniquely indigenous Southern food first produced by Native Americans and now recognized as the official prepared food of the State of Georgia. It is hosted by the town of Warwick, recognized as the Grits Capital of Georgia and, by popular acclaim, the Grits Capital of the World. Events include a parade, a grits eating contest, a grits cook-off, corn shelling contest, and live music.
