Held annually on the first Saturday in April since 1976, this festival encompasses all of downtown Belzoni, Mississippi with over 150 arts and crafts vendors, and live entertainment which features blues, country, gospel and more. There is a free kids zone, a catfish eating contest, a 5K run, a Little Miss Catfish Pageant, a Miss Catfish Pageant, and plenty of regional foods like gator tail, frog legs, swamp cabbage, catfish fingerlings and filet sandwiches.
